The temple is preserved in relatively good condition and no significant cracks or other signs are observed.
However, it has recently been coated with thick cement mortar in order to provisionally address the damage that had occurred due to its age and the effects of the severe earthquake on 19/2/1968.
During this 7.2 magnitude earthquake, extensive collapses and damage occurred throughout the traditional settlement of Agios Efstratios.
Otherwise, there are oral reports that the roof was formed before the recent interventions with wooden beams, which were replaced with reinforced concrete elements during the recent interventions.
