The main purpose of the work  is to remove structural damage, remove inappropriate interventions, preserve the historical building materials and highlight the monument, with the ultimate aim of ensuring its longevity and educational role, always in accordance with the principles of the Venice Charter and other conventions governing the protection of monuments.

The rehabilitation includes the following interventions:

1. Cleaning, fixing and strengthening stonework with grout and jointing, 
2. Construction of a new roof with slate covering
3. Replacement of wooden pillars inside the church
4. Universal application of grout throughout the entire masonry
5. Placing anchors at the four corners of the temple
