The old cattle shed is part of the overall design of the royal estate of Tatoi. It is one of the most important buildings in the area, since its construction and form reveal lofty intentions, which are probably related to the personality of the architect Ziller and the then young King George I.
The building, after its restoration, is planned to be opened to the public as a visitor space that will house the royal carriages.
The rehabilitation includes the following interventions:
- Removal of modern elements
- Cleaning, fixing and strengthening stonework with grout and jointing,
- Construction of new interior coatings
- Reconstruction of a wooden roof with simultaneous formation of a wooden mezzanine. The tiles that will be manufactured will have the form of the original ones (old Danish and not standard market ones)
- Construction of new window frames
- E/M installations
