For this project, our office did the project and construction of a pavilion which is used as a coffee shop/refreshment bar in the centre of Athens in one of the most iconic spots, the Numismatic Museum.

The pavilion was designed and built with the purpose of creating a new outdoor space in the museum’s yard that would accommodate and help visitors of the museum to relax, take a moment of rest and enjoy the outdoor space. The space is divided into two different ones, an indoor and an outdoor. A metal framework, with no symmetrical axis and big openings creates a new architectural language connecting the outdoor spaces of the museum and the interior of the pavilion. The technical part consists of energy efficient glass windows for shading and doors that operate with automation. Woodworking has been done as well as water supply works, drainage, firefighting, cooling and heating, electrical and security systems, high quality equipment was placed in the interior, furniture and sound equipment were installed, while marble coverings, varied plantings and lighting were placed in the surrounding area.
