The theatre \"Mel\u00edna Merko\u00fari\" is part of the Town Hall of Ag. Dim\u00edtrios.<\/p>

It\u00a0is situated on the ground floor of Agios Dimitrios Town Hall. The refurbishment concerned the entire theater, foyer, stage, patio-balcony, and\u00a0the first floor of the building. The main purpose of the project was to create an entire new, high standard\u00a0theatre by\u00a0demolishing all the existing constructions\u00a0and build new soundproof interior walls, roofs,\u00a0install\u00a0new wooden floors, new seating, lightings and sound systems. The most important aspect of the project was to create a new high quality acoustic of the theatre space which changed the experience of the users and visitors. Soundproof membranes mounted on the walls and roofs,\u00a0combined with new lighting helped\u00a0to achieve this result. Furthermore, an entire new space was designed on the first floor for exhibitions and conferences to take place to.<\/p>
