The purpose of the intervention is to strengthen the load-bearing organism and improve its behavior under dynamic stresses, to solve the building problems of the monument, to highlight and promote its value as well as to improve its recognition without causing damage to its authenticity. 

All additions deemed worthy of historical value will be retained, while traditional techniques will be used. Finally, the interventions will be as far as possible reversible and distinguishable from the original parts of the monument. 

The three main directions of interventions will be: Structural strengthening, limiting as much as possible the rising moisture by creating a perimeter drainage network and protecting the monument from falling moisture by reconstructing the ceramosis. 
Finally, all newer E/M facilities will be removed and replaced with new, more compatible and invisible ones.
